like the 1st day of school

Soooo....We live in the age of information. Access 24/7 to everything. I am not one to follow a crowd or partake in a trend just because everyone else is doing it.

I am not that easily influenced. I do my due diligence. I have to have some genuine interest. However I will admit when it comes to technology I am a puppy dog for it..as soon as i see it..I am a 2 yr old screaming in the toy aisle before i even know what it does or how it functions...

I have been keeping a journal since I was in middle school, so about the 7th grade...a couple years may have been lost because I stopped writing or I lost the diary all together...

And actually even though my diary's were my own private belongings- my mother would find them and I would get in trouble for what i wrote about what i was experiencing or thinking...

So why not just share with the world? It has been getting me in trouble even when it was for my eyes only. One of my goals in life is to motivate and inspire. And if I can do it by sharing my stories and thoughts with the world via blogging..I am all about it.

So here we go. just a little back ground about me...

I am a twenty something (I take that back- I am proud of my age and do not get why women hate saying how old they are. I AM TWENTY FIVE) SMU recent graduate living on her own in DALLAS Texas. In the words of Donna Summer- Working hard for my money...the very little I have.

I am a waitress at night serving the usual suspects- Dallas Douche bags(who have rightfully earned that title) and Dallas Dingbats( I would usually say Whores there..but I am trying to refrain from calling a woman a derogatory woman term if I can at all help it)

The recent economic downturn has forced me into the service industry even though I have a degree in International Studies from a prestigious private university. Because even though I have the degree- I do not have the mommy and daddy , and Greek letters on my Louis Vuitton book bag that usually coincide with SMU and its reputation.

What I do have is an opinion, a brain, the motivation, and a good sense of humor if i can say so myself.
